Empowering Students with Kindness and Life Skills

Hi, I’m Tegan Wright, founder and lead facilitator of Tegan’s KIDS. I’m am currently a senior at JSerra Catholic High School with a passion for community engagement, academic research, and collaborative leadership. My work bridges scholarship and service—spanning youth development, public service, ethics research, and community outreach. I enjoy bringing people together, whether it’s creating and building frameworks to foster a kinder and more empathetic future for kids, mentoring young debaters, leading community initiatives, or baking cakes for charitable organizations.

I was inspired to start Tegan’s KIDS (Kindness, Inclusion, Development, Support) in 2023.  Tegan’s KIDS is a research-informed, in-class, outreach program advancing inclusivity through kindness, empathy, dialogue, and conflict resolution in elementary schools. My program now spans five campuses, across 10 classrooms and has impacted over 200 students.

Whether I’m judging debate tournaments, baking cakes for children in foster care, or leading peer restorative justice hearings, I’m committed to building communities where all individuals feel they belong.
